Service Update: North QLD Freight Delays Due to Flooding – 7 February 2025

Dear Valued Shippers,

We would like to update you on the ongoing weather-related disruptions affecting freight movements in North Queensland.

Due to flooding and bridge damage at Ollera Creek, the Bruce Highway north of Townsville remains impassable. Our partner carrier, Aramex, is actively working to establish an alternative inland route from Brisbane to Cairns. 

This detour will extend transit times by approximately five to six hours, leading to continued delays in deliveries to Cairns throughout next week.

For shipments to Townsville, all freight is moving as usual, and we expect deliveries and pickups to return to normal next week.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Our teams are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as conditions change.
