Can I book a tail lift service?

Yes. Keep in mind that there are maximum weight s and dimensions a tail lift can handle. Here are some important things to consider when booking a tail lift service.

  • The min vehicle size for a tail lift is a 4 tonne.
  • Trucks with a tuck away tail lift can only take up to 500kgs and 1.2x2.0mx 2.0m
  • Trucks with a full tail lift (usually found on 8T and above trucks) 2.4m x 2.0 x 2.0m
  • Semi-trailers with tail lift are not a normal vehicle you can book.

Can the driver call the pickup or delivery address?

  • As these drivers are working exclusively for you they will pick up and deliver everything they are given as part of three service. If it's safe and they have the available time on the road still available.

Yes, multi drop and milk runs are an efficient way to have your deliveries completed in a fast efficient way. If the run is condensed a run driver can do between 10 - 15 drops per hour.

  • You must make sure your goods are ready for collection and there is someone there to receive the goods. If not, you may be charged waiting time. Each vehicle class has different included loading and unloading time. Up to 1 tonne include 5 mins, up to 4 tonne includes 10mins, up to 14 tonne 30mins and semi-trailers 45mins.
  • If a driver is required to hand unload your freight you may be charged a hand unload fee.
  • If a driver must use a toll to deliver your freight these will be passed on.

Can I get a driver to do a milk run or multi drop?

Yes, multi drop and milk runs are an efficient way to complete your deliveries in a fast efficient way. If the runs are condensed a run driver can do between 10-15 drops per hour.

I run my own fleet can I get a driver to replace him or to handle additional freight?

Yes, you can book a driver to come in for a min 4 hours and work as directed. They will be an extension of your business.

What happens if a driver cannot deliver the freight?

  • If a driver can not deliver the freight the driver can hold overnight and retry the next day.
  • Or they can return their freight and again charges apply.
  • Or deliver to a different address.

  • Be accurate and do not underestimate your weights and dimensions. It can be dangerous under-estimating your weights and dimensions.  
  • Under chain or responsibility as the shipper you are the first link in the chain. If you miss declare your goods and someone is injured or killed ultimately you could be prosecuted.
