The Royal Oman Police Directorate General of Customs has announced a critical update that will impact all shipments entering Oman. From 1 January 2025, Oman will transition from an 8-digit to a 12-digit Tariff Classification Code system.
This regulatory change aligns with international trade standards and enhances the efficiency of customs clearance procedures. Failure to comply may result in clearance delays which makes it crucial for shippers to update their processes ahead of time.
